Lion Tomb

location of the Lion Tomb Lion Tomb

North of the path from the parking to the acropolis and close to the museum lie the remains of the "Lion Tomb" - the name derived from its vicinity to the Lion Gate. The tholos has a collapsed roof but you can see all the features characteristic for tholoi of group II. Looking down to the chamber there is a majestic stomion.
